Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring full compliance with GAAP.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to federal, state, and local regulations and internal control procedures.
- Asset Management: Manage fixed asset tracking, depreciation schedules, and bank reconciliations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance director and cross-functional teams to provide accurate financial data for business planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to senior leadership.
