Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments
- Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Support tax preparation and compliance documentation
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial processes
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to client management teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Sage 100 a plus)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax compliance regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid Virginia driver's license and reliable transportation
- US citizenship or legal authorization to work in the US
