Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger accounting and perform complex account reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for internal and external reporting.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including variance analysis and journal entries.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
- Review invoices, payroll records, and expense reports for accuracy and approval.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CPA, CMA, or similar certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
