Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 innovation roadmaps across emerging tech domains (quantum AI, biocomputing, neurointerfaces)
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and researchers in prototyping next-gen solutions
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year market impact
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and R&D pioneers
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies
- Secure and manage innovation grants totaling $2M+ annually
- Present findings to C-suite executives and board members
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Innovation Management
- 8+ years experience in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Proven track record launching at least two market-defining innovations
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech verticals (quantum, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystem
- Published research in peer-reviewed technology journals
- Fluency in scenario planning methodologies and patent strategy
- Experience securing federal innovation grants (SBIR, DARPA)
