Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Process payroll and tax filings for 15-20 clients
- Generate financial statements and monthly reports
- Manage QuickBooks databases and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly reviews
- Train clients on accounting software best practices
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and California tax regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop and Excel
- ADP or Payroll processing certification preferred
- Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Familiarity with Oakland Bay Area business landscape
