Responsibilities
- Manage Day-to-Day Transactions: Accurately process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices are paid on time and receivables are collected promptly.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial records match actual bank statements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, income statements, and balance sheets for our client portfolio.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll reports and ensure tax filings are up to date.
- Bookkeeping Systems: Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks Online and other accounting software platforms.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for client financial inquiries regarding their accounts.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors in data and financial documents.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems is a plus.
