Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with GAAP compliance
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow management
- Develop and maintain internal controls for financial systems and processes
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Coordinate external audits and ensure regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in multi-entity accounting and fund accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics
- Strong knowledge of federal grant accounting requirements
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and audits
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication and presentation abilities
