Role Overview
As a Remote Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. You will play a crucial role in the financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and monthly financial statements.
- Assist with annual tax preparation and external audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies and procedures.
- Process expense reports and manage vendor invoices efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
