Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable: Ensure all invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time to maintain healthy vendor relationships.
- Financial Reconciliation: Perform monthly and weekly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks and SAP.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation of payroll data and ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
- Compliance: Monitor and adhere to internal controls and company policies to mitigate financial risk.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to analyze data and detect discrepancies.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial data clearly.
- Availability: Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime during month-end close.
