Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings with local authorities.
- Process payroll and ensure all payroll documentation is compliant with state regulations.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve budgeting and forecasting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and Microsoft Excel (Advanced).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
