Responsibilities
- Perform daily and monthly financial account reconciliations, ensuring all discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.
- Prepare and post journal entries for weekend transactions and accruals to maintain accurate general ledger balances.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports for executive review.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices and verifying payments.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP standards, and local Nevada tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and financial reviews to mitigate risk and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Payroll department to ensure accurate weekend processing and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a significant plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in general accounting, preferably within the hospitality or service industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and auditing principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in complex datasets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) with flexibility for occasional holidays.
