As a Weekend Shift Accountant, you will be the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance during critical closing periods.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-volume daily bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, trial balances, and variance analysis reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions for the weekend batch processing.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and local business reporting.
- Ensure strict adherence to GAAP standards and internal control policies.
- Collaborate with the week-day finance team to resolve outstanding discrepancies and audit findings.
- Maintain accurate and organized filing systems for all financial records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or high-volume environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and MS Excel (Advanced).
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during weekend shifts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
