Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all weekend transactions are accurately recorded and posted.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and identify variances for investigation and resolution.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Support the audit process by providing requested documentation and explanations for complex entries.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and company policies.
- Cross-train with team members to ensure continuity of operations during off-hours.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or high-volume environment.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during the weekend shift.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with the broader finance team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required for on-site attendance).
