The Role:
As our Weekend Bookkeeper, you will be the guardian of our financial records, ensuring that all financial data is up-to-date, accurate, and ready for our Monday morning review. You will work closely with our accounting team to streamline operations and resolve discrepancies.
Responsibilities
- Manage and process accounts payable and receivable transactions for the week.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and identify any discrepancies immediately.
- Process and verify payroll entries for weekend staff.
- Prepare and balance financial reports and general ledger entries.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Review and code invoices to ensure proper categorization.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekends.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
