What You'll Do:
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, specifically for the weekend shift.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Prepare and post journal entries for weekend-only business activities.
- Generate and analyze financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit & loss statements, for the weekend period.
- Assist with month-end close processes and payroll preparation.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial records.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding billing inquiries and account status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors quickly.
- Must be available to work a consistent weekend schedule (e.g., Saturday and Sunday).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is a plus.
