Responsibilities
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded for the weekend period.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, verify vendor statements, and manage accounts receivable collections.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Post journal entries, adjust accruals, and maintain the general ledger up to date.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of weekly or bi-weekly payroll for assigned clients.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare trial balances and financial reports for the weekend closing cycle.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with GAAP and internal company policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Education: Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Reliability: Must be available to work weekends consistently (Saturday/Sunday).
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot discrepancies and resolve financial errors quickly.
