In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining our financial records during the critical weekend hours. You will ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately, bank statements are reconciled, and financial reports are generated without delay.
Responsibilities
- Financial Transactions: Process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Invoice Management: Review, code, and process invoices in a timely manner to ensure vendor satisfaction.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly financial statements and balance sheets for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation of payroll data and tax filings where required.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks or Xero accounting software.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) is required.
- Availability: Must be available to work on weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and correct them proactively.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and team members.
