Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Accurately record daily financial transactions, including sales receipts, bills, invoices, and checks.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure all records match the actual bank balances.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Bookkeeping Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, update account balances, and categorize transactions.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal and state regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a weekend or part-time capacity.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Excel (including pivot tables and formulas).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy when handling data and financial records.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
