Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, specifically during weekend hours.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Process payroll for weekend staff and freelance contractors.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries and adjust accruals.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for management review.
- Organize and maintain digital and physical financial documentation for audit readiness.
- Communicate with clients and vendors to resolve billing discrepancies and inquiries.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively without direct supervision.
- Basic knowledge of US tax regulations and GAAP principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
