Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile client financial records using QuickBooks Online
- Process bi-weekly payroll and tax filings for small business clients
- Prepare month-end financial statements and variance reports
- Manage accounts receivable/payable cycles and bank reconciliations
- Assist with quarterly sales tax filings and audit preparations
- Provide weekend client support via email and scheduled phone calls
- Implement digital filing systems for document management
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks certification
- Proficient in MS Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables) and accounting software
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and Louisiana tax regulations
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (8am-5pm)
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field required
- Experience with multi-entity accounting preferred
- Proven track record of meeting monthly deadlines
