Responsibilities
- Reconcile Financial Accounts: Perform monthly bank reconciliations, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Accounts Management: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring all invoices are paid and received in a timely manner.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss reports.
- Payroll Support: Assist with weekly payroll processing and ensure all tax filings are accurate.
- Client Communication: Provide exceptional customer service to clients by answering inquiries regarding their accounts and financial status.
- Software Maintenance: Maintain and update client accounting files using QuickBooks and Xero.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Availability: Must be available to work every Saturday and Sunday (or specific weekend shift).
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables required).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and the ability to spot discrepancies in financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
