In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial records of our clients, ensuring that all data is up-to-date, accurate, and compliant. You will work primarily on Saturdays (and potentially Sundays) to ensure our clients' books are closed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a weekly basis.
- Process and verify invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and month-end close procedures.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records and documentation.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to maintain client ledgers.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and basic tax preparation principles.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during weekend hours.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
