Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts weekly.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries and adjust closing entries.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and payroll tax reports.
- Manage and maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Communicate with clients and vendors regarding billing inquiries and account discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax preparation principles.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
