Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Process daily bookkeeping tasks including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable with precision.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Reporting: Prepare and post journal entries, adjusting entries, and month-end closings.
- General Ledger: Maintain and review the general ledger to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for weekend staff and contractors.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal and state regulations.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to manage financial data.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Schedule: Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays on a weekly basis.
- Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, high level of organization, and the ability to work independently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Tools: Familiarity with cloud-based accounting platforms and payroll systems.
