As a Weekend Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial accuracy of our operations during our peak weekend hours. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile Bank Statements: Perform daily and weekly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledgers to ensure data accuracy.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, verify vendor invoices, and manage accounts payable schedules efficiently.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of weekly payroll for weekend staff.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and balance sheets.
- Data Entry: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in our accounting software.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related accounting role.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is required.
- Excel Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (functions, formulas, formatting).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Schedule: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday & Sunday) on a consistent basis.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to detect errors and ensure high-quality work under time pressure.
