Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts payable/receivable
- Process payroll and manage employee expense reports
- Prepare monthly financial statements and VAT returns
- Utilize Xero/QuickBooks for transaction management and reporting
- Assist with year-end audits and HMRC compliance
- Monitor cash flow and prepare budget variance analyses
- Collaborate with weekday finance team for continuity
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with UK GAAP knowledge
- Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage accounting software
- Strong Excel skills with advanced formula knowledge
- AAT/Certified Bookkeeper qualification preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
