Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile financial records including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions with 100% accuracy
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Assist with VAT returns and tax compliance documentation
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls for financial data
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper (minimum 3 years)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks/Xero/Sage accounting software
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and tax regulations
- AAT/CIMA/ACCA qualification preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP/Pivot Table expertise
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
