In this pivotal part-time role, you will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting our clients during critical close periods. Responsibilities
- Perform weekly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with high accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly tax filings and year-end audits.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for financial documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in data.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a consistent basis.
