Responsibilities
- General Ledger Maintenance: Perform month-end and week-end close procedures, including posting journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.
- Bank Reconciliation: Accurately reconcile bank statements and credit card statements on a weekly basis to ensure data accuracy.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, verify expenses, and manage vendor communications to ensure timely payments.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of weekly financial statements, trial balances, and variance reports.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial records comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Audit Support: Provide documentation and support for external and internal audits as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite is required. Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are a major plus.
- Attention to Detail: Must demonstrate a high level of accuracy when handling financial data and numbers.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours on Saturdays and Sundays.
