Responsibilities
- Execute end-of-week closing procedures, including journal entries and financial statement preparation.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements for the weekend cycle.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports for management review.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with high accuracy.
- Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and propose solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 3+ years of experience in general accounting, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
