Responsibilities
- Financial Reconciliation: Conduct daily and weekly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Month-End Close Support: Assist in preparing adjusting entries, financial reports, and balance sheets for the weekend period.
- Payroll Administration: Process and verify payroll runs for weekend staff, ensuring timely and accurate distribution of wages.
- Accounts Management: Review and process invoices for accounts payable, verify expenses, and manage vendor records.
- Compliance & Reporting: Prepare necessary tax filings and regulatory compliance reports specific to weekend operations.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) to track data and generate required financial reports.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform variance analysis and support the finance team with special projects or audits.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional accounting experience.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) on a recurring basis.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and ERP/accounting software.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and resolve complex financial issues.
- Licensure: CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to management.
