Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze weekly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconciliation: Perform high-volume bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Payroll Management: Process weekly payroll for over 100 employees, ensuring tax compliance and accurate deductions.
- Closing Procedures: Execute month-end and year-end close processes during weekend shifts to support the Monday morning reporting cycle.
- Audit Support: Assist external auditors and internal compliance teams with data requests and documentation during the audit season.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to GAAP standards and local Maryland regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with specific preference for candidates comfortable working a Weekend Shift.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or QuickBooks).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and manage large volumes of data with high precision.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
