Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the weekly closing process for client accounts and internal ledgers.
- Prepare and review financial statements, income statements, and balance sheets with high accuracy.
- Perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and variance reporting.
- Process payroll entries and ensure timely tax filings and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assist senior accountants with complex tax preparation and audit support.
- Maintain accurate filing systems and ensure data integrity within accounting software.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel functions.
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage preferred).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) reliably.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
