Our client is looking for an experienced Weekend Accountant to join their finance team on a Direct Hire basis. You will play a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy, managing month-end close procedures, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.

Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end weekly reconciliation of general ledger accounts, including bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Process and verify weekly payroll entries and ensure accurate tax withholdings and deductions are calculated.
- Prepare and post weekly journal entries to close out the accounting period accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, variance analysis, and budget tracking.
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Reconcile inter-company accounts and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Support the month-end close process by providing necessary data and documentation to the senior accounting team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, with specific preference for weekend shift roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to detect and correct errors efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during the weekend shift.
