Responsibilities
- Manage Weekly Reconciliations: Perform daily bank reconciliations and verify accuracy in general ledger accounts for the week-end period.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and verify invoices, payments, and ensure all week-end transactions are recorded accurately.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare weekly financial statements and variance analysis reports for management review.
- Month-End Close Support: Assist the senior finance team with specific tasks required to close the accounting period efficiently.
- Compliance & Auditing: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies and external accounting standards.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Review and post journal entries, adjust entries, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar weekend or part-time capacity.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting procedures.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a regular basis.
