Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute the month-end and quarter-end financial close procedures specifically on weekends.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable invoices and manage accounts receivable collections.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including trial balances and income statements.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
- Assist with the preparation of tax schedules and year-end audits.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and company policies.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
