Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with current IRS regulations
- Analyze financial statements to identify tax-saving opportunities
- Manage client relationships and provide proactive tax planning guidance
- Collaborate with audit teams to resolve tax discrepancies
- Utilize tax software (ProSystem, CCH, etc.) for efficient processing
- Maintain accurate client documentation and audit trails
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of tax preparation experience with IRS compliance
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Active CPA license or pursuit thereof
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environment
