Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk ratings for commercial loan applications
- Monitor existing portfolios and recommend risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal credit solutions
- Ensure compliance with federal lending regulations (Regulation O, BCP)
- Develop predictive models for early risk detection
- Mentor junior analysts on credit underwriting best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (MBA/CFA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience
- Expert proficiency in Excel modeling and financial software (Bloomberg, Moody's)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and risk management frameworks
- Proven track record in SBA and commercial underwriting
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
- Series 63/65 or willingness to obtain immediately
