Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for diverse client portfolios including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts monthly
- Generate financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) with actionable insights
- Implement and maintain robust accounting systems using QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Coordinate with auditors during annual reviews and prepare supporting documentation
- Oversee month-end closing processes with zero-tolerance for discrepancies
- Train junior staff on accounting best practices and software proficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional certification (CPA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with multi-entity portfolios
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Microsoft Excel with advanced functions
- Proven track record of flawless financial reporting and audit compliance
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, IRS regulations, and Michigan state tax requirements
- Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor or Xero advisor certification required
