Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 clients using QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit/loss reports
- Process payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations for multi-state operations
- Implement and optimize accounting systems for scalability
- Collaborate with tax professionals during quarterly and annual filings
- Maintain organized digital financial records with audit-ready documentation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks certification
- Proven expertise in multi-state payroll processing and tax compliance
- Advanced Excel skills with proficiency in pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent professional certification
- Experience with high-volume transaction processing (100+ monthly entries)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial reporting
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a client-facing role
