Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 diverse clients including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis and KPI reporting
- Oversee sales tax filings and compliance for California businesses
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online systems for client efficiency
- Coordinate annual tax preparation documentation with CPA partners
- Maintain organized digital filing systems with audit-ready documentation
- Provide proactive financial insights to clients during quarterly reviews
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience with multi-client portfolios
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- California sales tax filing certification or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Proven experience with construction or retail industry accounting
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP principles and reconciliation methodologies
- Exceptional attention to detail with 99.9% accuracy in financial reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions
