As a Remote Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health of our organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage complex reconciliation tasks, and drive process improvements from the comfort of your home office.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to mitigate risk.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts accurately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience (CPA preferred but not mandatory).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of US tax laws and financial reporting standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting.
