Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely reconciliations
- Oversee budget preparation, variance analysis, and financial forecasting
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and UK GAAP standards
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Collaborate with auditors during financial reviews and tax audits
- Develop and implement financial controls to mitigate risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in public practice or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and SAP systems
- Expert knowledge of UK tax legislation and VAT compliance
- Proven experience managing complex financial reporting cycles
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data
