Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close and reconciliations
- Lead financial reporting and compliance for 15+ portfolio companies
- Implement and optimize internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Analyze variance reports and provide actionable financial insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting
- Maintain accurate general ledger and subsidiary accounts
- Lead audit preparation and liaison with external auditors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA required)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Excel advanced functions
- Proven track record of managing complex financial reporting cycles
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance (CA focus)
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced startup environments
