We're urgently seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Houston. Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end/quarter-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX regulations, and internal controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial forecasting and analysis
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external auditor communications
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Proven expertise in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize competing tasks
