Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, including weekly and bi-weekly cycles.
- Prepare and file accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax returns (941, W-2s, etc.).
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and investigate and answer employee inquiries regarding paychecks and deductions.
- Collaborate with the HR department to maintain accurate personnel files and ensure data integrity.
- Assist with the annual audit process and year-end reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with FLSA, FICA, and other relevant employment laws.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional payroll processing experience is required.
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks) is mandatory.
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA, wage and hour laws, and state-specific payroll regulations.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) are highly desirable.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
