Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for diverse workforce using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (CA Labor Code focus)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and 401(k) contributions
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and file tax forms (941, 940, DE-6, etc.)
- Support audits and maintain payroll documentation
- Collaborate with HR on timekeeping and employee changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience
- Proficiency with ADP or similar payroll systems
- Strong knowledge of CA payroll laws and tax codes
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- CPP or FPC certification preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and confidentiality
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
