Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 500+ employees bi-weekly using ADP Workforce Now
- Calculate and garnish deductions for taxes, benefits, and wage garnishments
- Ensure compliance with federal (FLSA, FICA), state (Alaska DOL), and local regulations
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare year-end W-2s and 1099s
- Implement new payroll policies and system upgrades
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries within SLA timeframe
- Collaborate with HR on onboarding/offboarding payroll processes
Qualifications
- 3+ years processing US payroll with multi-state experience
- ADP Workforce Now certification or equivalent HRIS proficiency
- Expert knowledge of Alaska payroll tax laws and regulations
- Associate's degree in Accounting/Business (Bachelor's preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- PHR or CPP certification strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage confidential data with discretion
- Experience implementing payroll system upgrades
