Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
- Prepare and maintain general ledgers, financial statements, and monthly reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and tax requirements.
- Maintain and organize financial records and digital documents.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance is highly desired.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) is required.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
