Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, ensure timely payments, and follow up on outstanding payments efficiently.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and detect discrepancies.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in processing payroll for employees, ensuring all tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger by recording daily transactions and ensuring all entries are accurate.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero is required. Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are essential.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; High school diploma with equivalent experience accepted.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to manage large volumes of data with high accuracy and integrity.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
- Professionalism: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
